As a Cloud and System Engineer at Schmitt Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining high-performance technical solutions. You will take ownership of technical vulnerability management and monitor system performance using tools like OpenSearch and Grafana. A significant portion of the role involves managing AWS infrastructure, including cost optimization and resource configuration across services like ECS, S3, and Lambda. Required Skills

Education

Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Software Engineering, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in creating and adapting User Stories, Features, and Enablers from an architectural perspective
  • Professional experience in the operational management of DaVit applications
  • Experience in managing databases (Oracle/PostgreSQL) and monitoring solutions
  • Experience in AWS resource cost control and optimization
  • Demonstrated experience in Python programming and GitLab Runner administration
  • Experience in technical vulnerability management and CI/CD automation

German (Fluent)

Additional

  • Willingness to participate in on-call rotations (Rufbereitschaft) is required. Must have the ability to work in a German-speaking project environment (B2+ level).
