Job Summary

As an IT Specialist in Business Continuity Management at the Saarland State IT Service Center, you will play a vital role in ensuring the resilience of critical public sector IT infrastructure. Your day-to-day responsibilities include developing and refining the Business Continuity Management System (BCMS), conducting Business Impact Analyses (BIA) to identify critical resources, and drafting essential recovery plans and emergency manuals. You will also coordinate BCM exercises, emergency tests, and employee training sessions to foster a culture of preparedness. Required Skills

Education

Experience

  • Professional experience in Business Continuity Management processes and emergency management methods
  • Experience in IT infrastructure and operations with a focus on availability and fail-safety
  • Experience in creating and maintaining emergency and restart plans (preferred)
  • Experience with digitalization projects in the public sector (preferred)
  • Proven track record of working in interdisciplinary teams and structured environments

Additional

  • Must be able to work within the TV-L public service collective bargaining framework. Requires the ability to work flexibly during intensive project phases or emergency situations. Foreign degrees must have a recognition certificate from the Central Office for Foreign Education (ZAB).
