Job Summary
As a Biological Technical Assistant at the Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (IFA), you will play a vital role in making work environments safer and healthier. Based in the microbiology laboratory within the Biological Agents division, your daily responsibilities will involve processing biological samples using MALDI-TOF-MS and managing various microbiological and biochemical analytical procedures. You will be actively involved in quality assurance, the development of new methods, and the refinement of standard operating procedures. Beyond the lab, you will conduct specialized investigations and field measurements at member companies and support educational seminars for technical services. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as a Technical Assistant in Biology (BTA), Medicine (MTA), Pharmacy (PTA), Environmental Technology (UTA), Agricultural Technology (LTA), or equivalent qualifications and experience.
Experience
- Professional experience in handling biological agent samples
- Practical knowledge in the field of microbiological analysis techniques
- Experience in independent, structured, and reliable laboratory work
- Experience in preparing and conducting technical measurements and investigations
