Job Summary

As an Associate IT Project Director, you will lead the digital transformation of the German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr) by managing complex IT projects from solution development to commissioning. Operating within the Center of Excellence for Project Management, you will be responsible for coordinating project teams and suppliers, translating client requirements into technical processes, and managing stakeholder interests at a high management level. The role focuses on application and platform projects, particularly in Cloud Computing, AI, or SAP environments. This position is ideal for experienced leaders who want to contribute to national security while working on one of Germany's most complex IT infrastructures. Required Skills

Education

Successfully completed degree in Business Informatics (Wirtschaftsinformatik) or a comparable field; Project Management Certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is required.

Experience

  • At least 6 years of professional experience in leading complex IT projects within SAP, Cloud Computing, or AI environments
  • Proven experience in applying standard and agile project management methodologies
  • Professional experience in managing projects for public sector clients, ideally the Bundeswehr, is preferred
  • Experience in coordinating project staff, suppliers, and managing goal conflicts
  • Experience in reporting and coordinating project results with senior management and external stakeholders
