Job Summary

This role is based at the Langenau Waterworks within the operational and research laboratory of one of Germany's largest long-distance water suppliers. As a Chemical Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for the analytical testing of drinking, ground, surface, and wastewater. Your day-to-day tasks involve trace substance determination using advanced liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry (LC-HRMS, LC-MS/MS), as well as effect-based analytics such as thin-layer chromatography with bioassays. Beyond routine testing, you will support research projects, perform plausibility checks on results, and maintain analytical systems. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a Chemical Laboratory Technician, Chemical-Technical Assistant (CTA), or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in chemical laboratory environments
  • Experience in water analysis is advantageous but not mandatory
  • Experience with liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry detection methods
  • Proven ability to perform quality assurance and plausibility checks on analytical data
  • Experience in technical maintenance of laboratory analytical systems
