Job Summary

This position is based at the Institute for Agricultural Engineering in Ruhstorf a. d. Rott, within the Digital Farming working group. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the 'AI Chatbot for Agriculture' research project, focusing on the coordination and further development of an AI-supported chatbot. Day-to-day responsibilities include supporting agile project management using Design Thinking and Scrum, developing scientific evaluation concepts, and organizing field tests with stakeholders from farms and administration. You will analyze user data to assess technical quality and usability, comparing prototypes against major systems like Gemini or Copilot. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of practical farming and cutting-edge science, identifying the risks and opportunities of Large Language Models (LLMs) in agricultural administration. It is an ideal position for those looking to profile themselves in the rapidly evolving field of agricultural AI within a modern research environment.

Required Skills

Education

Master's degree in Agricultural Sciences or a comparable field of study (foreign degrees must have proof of recognition in Germany).

Experience

  • Professional experience in planning, conducting, and evaluating scientific studies and data analyses
  • Experience in presenting research results to specialist groups
  • Experience in agile project management methodologies such as Design Thinking and Scrum
  • Professional experience in the handling and statistical evaluation of complex datasets
