Job Summary

This role involves managing the core IT infrastructure at the Max Planck Institute for Dynamics and Self-Organization in Göttingen, an internationally renowned research facility. As an IT System Administrator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of network infrastructure (HPE), firewalls (ForcePoint), and Linux-based server environments. You will also manage the Proxmox virtualization environment, install new IT systems, and provide 2nd-level support for internal users. The position is ideal for technical professionals who enjoy a mix of hardware management, scripting, and service-oriented troubleshooting.
