Job Summary

As a Java Development Specialist, you will lead complex backend development processes within the JEE ecosystem, specifically utilizing the Quarkus framework. Your daily responsibilities include creating sophisticated data processing concepts, implementing software designs, and performing deep-dive analysis to resolve complex technical errors. You will take a leadership role by heading working groups, coordinating with various organizational units, and overseeing quality assurance and version control using Git and Bitbucket. A unique aspect of this role is the focus on mentorship; you will provide operational guidance and practical training to junior developers. Working within the DRV Bund IT domain, you will contribute to critical systems managing pension accounts and rehabilitation services. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor's or Diploma) in IT, or equivalent professional IT qualification, or completed vocational IT training with several years of practical experience.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in JEE software development, specifically focused on backend systems
  • Proven experience with modern development tools including Quarkus, Maven, and Git
  • Professional experience in agile task management and project steering using Jira
  • Experience in technical documentation and conceptual design
  • Experience in the technical supervision and instruction of junior staff or trainees
