Job Summary
This role is based at the Medical Data Integration Center (MEDIZUKR) within the University Hospital Regensburg. As a Research Associate or Medical Informatics Specialist, you will play a critical role in a scientific research project focused on expanding and networking data integration centers. Your daily tasks will involve the analysis, design, and implementation of databases and ETL processes to make clinical routine data usable for medical research in compliance with data protection regulations. Required Skills
Education
Master's degree or equivalent in (Medical) Informatics, Natural Sciences, or a related field.
Experience
- Professional experience in programming using languages such as Java, Python, or R
- Experience with ETL and streaming technologies like Apache Kafka or Java Spring Batch
- Experience with modern software development workflows and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Professional knowledge of clinical processes and medical terminologies
- Experience in independent problem-solving and scientific research environments
