Job Summary

This role serves as the primary point of contact at the Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg's International Office, specifically within the Campus Welcome Center. As an Administrative Coordinator, you will manage the Welcome Desk, providing essential advice to international students and those planning stays abroad regarding enrollment, residency, and funding. Your day-to-day will involve a mix of front-facing service coordination and back-office administration, including managing mobility databases (like EU Mobility Tools), organizing welcome events, and maintaining digital information channels. This position is particularly attractive for early-career professionals looking to gain experience in international relations and student services within a multicultural university environment. You will join a collaborative team of 13 colleagues, contributing to the university's internationalization strategy while ensuring high-quality service through the optimization of internal administrative processes.

Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Administrative Sciences, or European Studies; alternatively, a qualification as a Management Assistant for Office Management with relevant professional experience.

Experience

  • Professional experience in office management or student services
  • Experience in managing target groups and organizational tasks
  • Experience with study and residency legal frameworks in Germany and abroad
  • Experience in event planning and digital channel maintenance
  • Experience working in an international or intercultural environment
