This position at the Institute of Chemistry involves researching the synthesis and characterization of metal complexes and Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs) specifically for the controlled storage of medically relevant gases. As a Research Associate, you will play a vital role in developing functional materials for health and sustainability challenges. Your daily responsibilities include conducting laboratory research, publishing findings in international journals, presenting at conferences, and supporting the acquisition of third-party funding. Additionally, you will contribute to academic teaching in German (2.6 hours per week) and supervise student projects. This role is particularly attractive as it offers a clear pathway and support for completing a doctoral degree (PhD) within a young, dynamic research group. Required Skills

Education

Above-average university degree (Master's or Diploma) preferably in Chemistry or a related field.

Experience

  • Professional experience in coordination chemistry, porous materials, or functional materials related to gas adsorption or biomedical applications

  • Experience in presenting research at national or international conferences
  • Experience or capability in publishing research results in international journals
