Job Summary

As a Software Developer within the Genebank Documentation research group, you will play a vital role in managing plant genetic resources (PGR) data for researchers and breeders. Your day-to-day responsibilities include the further development of the Genebank Information System, implementing specific use cases, and conducting rigorous testing, error analysis, and performance tuning. You will also provide in-house support for users of the developed software components. Required Skills

Education

University degree in Computer Science, ideally with a focus on Software Development, or an equivalent qualification.

Experience

  • Extensive professional experience in software development
  • Extensive experience in developing web-based business applications within Oracle environments
  • Proven experience using Oracle APEX, SQL, and JavaScript frameworks
  • Experience in the documentation of genetic resources is preferred but not mandatory
