Job Summary

This role involves driving the integration and application of Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) propulsion systems into the Next Generation Coach (NGC) platform at Daimler Buses. As part of an agile development team, you will be responsible for defining functionalities, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, and managing documentation and 3D processing. You will translate vehicle requirements into actionable user stories, oversee the development and construction phases, and coordinate with product management to ensure technical integrability. A unique aspect of this position is the opportunity to serve partially as a Scrum Master, maintaining the team's workflow and communication. This is a 24-month fixed-term contract based in Mannheim or Neu-Ulm, offering a chance to shape the future of sustainable mobility in a world-leading bus manufacturing environment.

Required Skills

Education

University degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, or a related field of study.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in electrical/electronic development or software development
  • Experience in handling documentation and series production releases for software and control units
  • Practical experience applying agile development methodologies
  • Proven knowledge of processes, tools, and legal regulations for developing automotive mechatronic components
  • Experience in maturity level assurance for vehicle systems
