Job Summary

As a member of an agile development team at Daimler Buses, you will drive the integration and application of eDrive, high-voltage vehicle electrical systems, and charging systems for the Next Generation Coach (NGC). Your daily responsibilities include defining system functionalities, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, managing 3D design tasks, and overseeing homologation processes. You will translate vehicle-level requirements into actionable user stories, steering the development and construction phases while coordinating with product management to ensure technical feasibility. A unique aspect of this role involves serving as a Scrum Master for a portion of your time to maintain team productivity and streamline communication. This position offers a highly collaborative environment within a leading global bus manufacturer, focusing on sustainable mobility solutions. It is a 24-month fixed-term contract available in either Mannheim or Neu-Ulm, featuring flexible working models and mobile work options.

Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, or a related field of study.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in electrical/electronic development or software development
  • Experience in documentation and series production release for software scopes and control units
  • Practical experience in applying agile development methods
  • Proven expertise in processes, tools, and legal regulations for developing automotive electronic and mechatronic components
  • Experience in maturity level assurance for vehicle systems
