As a Project Engineer at the University of Bonn, you will play a pivotal role in the institution's ambitious journey toward climate neutrality. Working within the Energy Management department, you will oversee the technical operations and optimization of approximately 350 university buildings with a massive annual energy consumption of 95 million kWh. Your daily responsibilities include implementing an energy management system according to DIN ISO 50001, conducting energetic analyses, and performing efficiency calculations. You will be responsible for the full project lifecycle, from engineering planning and tendering to construction management and validation of energy-saving measures. Required Skills
Education
Successfully completed engineering degree with a focus on Climate Protection, Energy, Environment, Sustainability, Technical Building Services (TGA), or a comparable field of study.
Experience
- Several years of experience in managing energy management systems according to DIN ISO 50001
- Proven experience in project management through the leadership of complex projects
- Professional experience in engineering planning and construction supervision
- Ideally, experience in public administration or the higher education sector
