Job Summary

This role at the Institute for Nanophotonics Göttingen (IFNANO) focuses on a research and development project regarding laser-written micromarking. As a Research Associate, you will be responsible for the further development of optical setups used to create micro- and nanostructures on material surfaces and within transparent materials. Your daily work involves theoretical analysis, simulations, and experimental measurements of optical parameters. You will actively manufacture structures using laser structuring and characterize them using advanced microscopy techniques such as AFM and SEM. This position is particularly attractive for those seeking a bridge between academic research and industrial application, offering access to state-of-the-art laboratory infrastructure and the opportunity to collaborate closely with industrial partners. The role provides a high degree of autonomy and the chance to contribute to cutting-edge developments in photonics and material science.
