Job Summary

As an Associate Lead Expert in Cybersecurity, you will serve as a primary digitalization partner for the German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr), ensuring the digital future and security of one of Germany's largest IT infrastructures. Operating within the Chief Information Security Office (CISO), you will coordinate the creation of IT security and data protection concepts, operationalize security guidelines, and provide strategic guidance for complex projects. Your daily responsibilities include conducting risk analyses, developing security architectures, and acting as a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for security projects. This role is highly impactful, contributing directly to national security while offering a collaborative environment with professional development opportunities. You will lead internal and external colleagues, providing coaching and technical guidance to first-line-of-defense security experts. The position is available in multiple major German cities and offers significant flexibility through mobile work and trust-based working hours.

Required Skills

Education

Successfully completed subject-related university degree in Business Informatics, Digital Project Management, or a related field.

Experience

  • At least 6 years of professional experience in project work or customer projects within the public sector or industrial environment
  • Extensive professional experience in ISMS, IT-Grundschutz, or security-related projects
  • Proven experience in analyzing complex, cross-functional IT landscapes and deriving security measures
  • Experience in leading or steering internal and external colleagues as a technical lead or SPOC
  • Practical experience in coaching and providing guidance to security experts
