Job Summary

As a Grid Support Center Engineer specializing in databases, you will join a 10-person team responsible for managing the IT landscape of a distribution network. Your daily responsibilities involve acting as the primary point of contact for internal users, documenting and resolving incidents, and managing requests related to energy systems. You will function as a specialist for the eCount application within Oracle database environments, performing deep technical tasks such as SQL tuning and PL/SQL development. The role is highly dynamic, requiring you to conduct regular system trainings, collaborate with technical product teams, and participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to ensure system stability. This position is particularly attractive due to its blend of technical depth and user interaction, offering a 37-hour work week, flexible home-office options (including 'workation' in Europe), and a strong focus on professional development within the energy sector.

Required Skills

Education

Completed IT training (vocational) or a university degree in Information Technology or a related field.

Experience

  • Professional experience in IT support or database administration
  • Deep technical experience in Oracle database environments including SQL and PL/SQL
  • Experience in handling 1st and 2nd level support requests
  • Experience in developing automation scripts using PowerAutomate
  • Preferred experience with Metering Solutions, specifically Robotron eCount
