As a BIM Discipline Coordinator for MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing), you will serve as the vital link between the BIM team and the technical building services department. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve driving digital transformation by developing and maintaining software standards, templates, and workflows. You will ensure high-quality output by performing data consistency checks and model structure audits on technical models. A significant part of this role is dedicated to 'digital empowerment'—training and supporting colleagues in using specialized software and digital tools. You will also collaborate with IT on hardware requirements and license management while participating in R&D initiatives to evaluate new software solutions. This position is ideal for those who enjoy interdisciplinary collaboration and want to actively shape the future of MEP planning within a flat-hierarchy environment that prioritizes sustainability and digitalization.
Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training or degree in the field of Building Services Engineering (Supply Engineering or Electrical Engineering).
Experience
- Professional experience in MEP planning (Building Services Engineering)
- Practical experience in BIM methodology or technical model coordination
- Demonstrated experience in developing software standards and workflows
- Experience in training and supporting colleagues with technical software
- Experience in managing technical interfaces between BIM and engineering departments
Languages
Additional
- The role requires the ability to communicate complex technical content clearly and involves interdisciplinary coordination across various construction disciplines throughout Germany.
