Job Summary

As a Master Electrician serving as the Responsible Electrotechnical Specialist (vEFK) for the Technical Tax Office Berlin, you will ensure the safe and compliant operation of electrical systems and equipment across Berlin's financial administration. Your daily responsibilities include planning and organizing inspections for stationary and mobile electrical equipment, supervising electrotechnically instructed persons (EuP), and coordinating with external specialist firms to maintain quality control. You will evaluate electrical safety, decide on the commissioning or decommissioning of devices, and create essential safety concepts and operating instructions. This role is unique as it offers the stability of public service within the Land Berlin administration, providing a company vehicle for field duties and significant influence over the safety structures of the city's financial IT infrastructure. Required Skills

Education

Master Craftsman's Certificate (Meister) in Electrical Engineering (Industrial or Trade) or a Master's degree with specific additional task-related training; Qualification as a Responsible Electrotechnical Specialist (vEFK) according to DIN VDE 1000-10 or willingness to obtain it.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in electrotechnical task areas
  • Professional experience with DGUV inspections and electrical safety evaluations
  • Experience in providing technical guidance to qualified electricians and instructed persons
  • Proven experience in applying VDE and DGUV norms and regulations
