Job Summary
This part-time (50%) permanent position at the Chair of Plant Systems Biology at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) offers a central role in supporting cutting-edge botanical research. Day-to-day, the successful candidate will provide technical support for scientific projects involving molecular biology, biochemistry, and genetics, focusing on plants like Arabidopsis, barley, and tomatoes. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as a Biological Technical Assistant (BTA), Chemical Technical Assistant (CTA), Medical Technical Assistant (MTA), or equivalent professional experience.
Experience
- Professional experience in molecular biological methods and/or working with sterile media
- Experience in an academic or laboratory research environment
- Experience in plant-based research (phenotyping, crossing, or transformation) is highly desirable
- Proven track record in efficient laboratory organization and independent work

- Location: Freising, Germany. This is a 50% part-time position (20 hours per week). The contract is permanent (unbefristet). Compensation follows the TV-L public service collective agreement.
