This role serves as the central Data Protection Officer for the City of Salzgitter, ensuring compliance with the GDPR and the Lower Saxony Data Protection Act. You will act as the primary advisor for administrative units, staff, and the personnel council on all data privacy matters. Day-to-day responsibilities include consulting on internal regulations, drafting contracts and forms with privacy implications, and serving as the main point of contact for citizens regarding data rights. You will also represent the city in internal and external working groups and contribute to projects with data protection components. Required Skills

Education

  • Experience in public administration processes and workflows
