Job Summary
This role involves ensuring public safety through the technical monitoring and expert assessment of water supply systems in accordance with the German Drinking Water Ordinance (TrinkwV). Working for the City of Salzgitter, the successful candidate will conduct risk assessments for commercial drinking water installations, define necessary technical measures based on recognized engineering standards, and provide expert opinions for regulatory actions. Additionally, the position covers the hygienic assessment and hazard analysis of water treatment and disinfection systems in indoor and outdoor swimming pools. This is a one-year parental leave replacement position that offers a high degree of responsibility in environmental health. Required Skills
Education
Successfully completed university degree in Environmental Engineering, Hygiene Technology, or a comparable field of study.
Experience
- Professional experience in environmental or hygiene technology
- Experience in the technical assessment and monitoring of water supply systems
- Experience in creating technical statements and hazard analyses for swimming pool facilities
- Experience in applying technical regulations and legal standards (TrinkwV)
- Experience in independent organizational and administrative tasks

Additional
- Valid Class B (or Class 3) driver's license and willingness to use a private vehicle for official business purposes is required. This is a fixed-term parental leave replacement for approximately one year.
