Job Summary

This role is part of the ESF-funded project 'DOCK Oldenburg – Participation Advice for Families,' aimed at creating a new interdisciplinary support structure for families at risk of poverty. As a Social Benefits Consultant and Deputy Project Manager, you will provide expert guidance across various legal frameworks (SGB II, III, VIII, IX, XII) and support families in navigating complex social benefit claims. You will act as the technical point of contact for the team, work in tandem with social pedagogical staff, and manage interfaces between administration and local community services. This position is unique for its focus on developing a transferable model for integrated social counseling through physical, mobile, and digital channels. It offers a secure public service contract (TVöD EG 11) with extensive benefits, including flexible working hours, home office options, and a strong focus on work-life balance within a socially impactful project.

Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Social Security Management, Law (Bachelor of Laws/1st State Exam), or Business Administration with a legal focus; or successful completion of the Administrative Examination II (Verwaltungsprüfung II).

Experience

  • Professional experience in providing social benefits advice and cross-legal framework consulting
  • Experience in managing interfaces between administrative bodies, counseling services, and social spaces
  • Proven track record in interdisciplinary teamwork and collaborative service delivery
  • Experience in project steering and the development of professional counseling standards
  • Knowledge of the local social support landscape and counseling networks is preferred
