Job Summary

As an Applications Scientist within the Digital Sciences and Automated Solutions division, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between complex scientific needs and automated laboratory solutions. Operating in a fully remote capacity with up to 25% global travel, you will collaborate closely with the Sales team to support the pre-sales process for international customers. Your daily responsibilities include engaging directly with clients to understand their technical requirements, designing automation solutions using collaborative robotic movers and scheduling software, and generating detailed throughput analyses. You will act as a vital liaison between technical departments such as R&D and Engineering and the global sales channels. This role is ideal for a proactive professional with a strong scientific background and a passion for laboratory automation. Required Skills

Education

Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field required; Master’s degree (MSc) or PhD preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in research areas such as Laboratory Automation, Synthetic Biology, NGS, CRISPR, Molecular Diagnostics, Cell Culture, Bio-banking, or Antibody/T-Cell Screening
  • Professional experience in the Pharmaceutical or Biotechnology industry
  • Hands-on experience with integrated automated systems and laboratory instrumentation
  • Experience in direct customer interaction and pre-sales support
  • Experience in technical writing and generating proposal content
