Job Summary
This role involves serving as the Deputy Shift Supervisor for the Kassel Combined Heat and Power (CHP) plant, where you will ensure the continuous and safe operation of power generation facilities. On a day-to-day basis, you will oversee personnel scheduling, manage work permits, and coordinate energy production with planners. When the primary Shift Lead is absent, you will take full responsibility for troubleshooting, implementing regulatory requirements, and maintaining the operational logbook. The position requires a hands-on approach to monitoring main and auxiliary systems, managing plant startup and shutdown procedures, and optimizing process engineering for new projects. Required Skills
Education
Certified Power Plant Operator (Geprüfter Kraftwerker) with a background in electrical or mechanical vocational training.
Experience
- Several years of professional experience working in a power plant or similar industrial operating environment
- Experience in operating, monitoring, and controlling main and auxiliary power plant systems
- Proven experience in handling plant startup and shutdown procedures
- Experience in creating hazard assessments and operating instructions
- Background in electrical or mechanical engineering is required
