Job Summary
This role involves managing and securing the IT infrastructure for the state forestry administration of Rhineland-Palatinate. As an IT Systems Administrator focusing on Endpoint Management, you will be responsible for the organization's virus protection (currently Trend Micro), technical administration of Windows servers and client systems, and managing domain services including DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy Objects (GPOs). You will play a key role in software distribution using Endpoint Configuration Manager and collaborate with the Information Security Officer to ensure compliance with BSI IT-Grundschutz standards. Required Skills
Education
University degree (Bachelor/Diploma) in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Information Technology, or a comparable qualification such as a certified IT Specialist for System Integration with relevant professional experience.
Experience
- Professional experience in IT system integration or systems administration
- Proven experience with Windows server and client administration
- Experience in managing antivirus solutions and IT security protocols
- Experience with software distribution and endpoint configuration tools
- Experience in technical troubleshooting and 2nd level support using ticket systems
- Experience in mentoring or training junior IT staff is preferred

Additional
- Valid Class B (3) driver's license required. Position is based in Emmelshausen. Must be eligible for public service employment under German TV-L regulations.
