Job Summary

This full-time, permanent role is based at the Central Office of Forest Management in Emmelshausen, where you will play a critical role in managing the IT infrastructure for the Rhineland-Palatinate State Forestry. Your day-to-day responsibilities include the technical administration of Windows server systems across approximately 50 offices, managing Active Directory services (DNS, DHCP, GPOs), and leading infrastructure projects. You will work closely with the Information Security Officer to ensure BSI basic protection standards and provide second-level support. This position is unique as it offers the stability of a public service contract (TV-L EG10) with the possibility of civil servant status (Beamtenverhältnis). Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor/Diploma) in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Information Technology, or a comparable qualification (e.g., IT Specialist for System Integration with relevant professional experience and additional qualifications).

Experience

  • Professional experience in Windows system administration and Active Directory management
  • Experience in managing or participating in IT infrastructure projects
  • Experience in technical administration of server systems and applications
  • Experience in IT security compliance and BSI basic protection standards
