Job Summary

Joining the Grid & Power business unit in Dortmund, the MEP Electrical Systems Planner will take on a holistic role in the system design and planning of electrical building services and energy facilities. The day-to-day responsibilities involve developing complex concepts for power plants and substations, specifically focusing on high and low-voltage systems, lightning protection, and cable routing. You will ensure all designs comply with VDE standards and coordinate closely with civil engineering teams to prevent technical collisions. This position is ideal for a technician or master craftsman who enjoys technical precision and interface management. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as an Electronics Technician with further qualification as a State-Certified Technician or Master Craftsman (Meister) in Electrical Engineering.

Experience

  • Professional experience in MEP electrical planning and design
  • Proven expertise in creating load calculations and single-line diagrams
  • Experience with VDE regulations and fire protection standards in electrical installations
  • Background in power plants or substations is highly desirable
  • Experience with medium-voltage (10/20 kV) or high-voltage systems is an advantage

  • The role supports mobile working up to two days per week and offers flexible hours starting from 30 hours per week. Candidates must be able to work at the Dortmund location.
