As a Medical Data Scientist (internally referred to as a Medical Risk Analyst), you will play a pivotal role in shaping the private health insurance business at Allianz. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve the procedural development and optimization of medical risk assessment processes, ensuring they are efficient, customer-friendly, and risk-adequate. You will translate complex medical insights into data-driven business decisions and work within an agile environment on innovative projects like 'Risk Assessment 4 Future'. A key part of the role is utilizing modern analytical tools and driving the implementation of Artificial Intelligence to enhance underwriting for full and supplementary health insurance. This position is ideal for professionals who enjoy combining medical expertise with data science to improve strategic decision-making and operational excellence in a leading global insurance firm.

Required Skills

Education

University degree in Human Medicine, Medical Informatics, or a comparable field of study.

Experience

  • Professional experience in the procedural development and design of risk assessment processes, including active implementation.
  • Extensive experience in data-driven work and conducting data set analysis.
  • Experience using modern analytical tools and promoting the use of AI.
  • Professional experience in the health insurance or general insurance industry is preferred.
  • Experience in medical fields or project management is highly desirable.
