Job Summary
As a Project Director for Critical Programs at Thales, you will take full responsibility for the technical, programmatic, and budgetary aspects of highly complex aerospace projects, some with volumes in the billions of euros. Operating from Ulm, you will manage projects from initial bid handover to successful completion, overseeing communication solutions for space missions or electric satellite propulsion systems. Your daily responsibilities include project planning, structuring work packages (WBS/OBS), and conducting risk assessments. You will lead interdisciplinary teams, manage procurement strategies, and conduct high-level contract negotiations with international partners. This role is unique due to its massive scale and critical impact on global satellite infrastructure. You will serve as the central interface for reporting to corporate leadership and representing the company to major international clients, ensuring all quality, cost, and legal requirements are met in a high-stakes environment.
