Job Summary
The State Company for Environment and Agriculture (BfUL) is seeking a Chemical Engineer or Chemist to join their Environmental Analytics and Nature Conservation Monitoring division in Nossen, Germany. This is a temporary position, covering parental leave from September 2025 to July 2026. The successful candidate will primarily focus on organic analysis of water, developing and optimizing chromatographic-mass spectrometric methods for environmental pollutants using LC-MS/MS and GC-MS. Key responsibilities include conducting laboratory investigations, ensuring internal quality assurance, and supporting metal analysis. Required Skills
Education
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a comparable field with a focus on chemical-analytical methods and instrumental analytics.
Experience
- Professional experience in LC-MS/MS and ICP-MS analytics
- Experience in environmental analytics (advantageous)
- Experience with MassHunter software (advantageous)
- Experience with laboratory databases (MS Access) or Laboratory Information Management Systems (WinLIMS) (advantageous)
