Job Summary
As a Geoinformatics Specialist for LINZ AG, you will serve as the central IT technical contact for the organization's Geographic Information Systems (GIS) portfolio. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve the maintenance, further development, and quality assurance of existing and future GIS applications and Web-GIS modules throughout their entire lifecycle. You will independently manage GIS projects, coordinate requirements between specialized departments and external service providers, and oversee geodata infrastructure, interfaces, and central management. This role is critical for ensuring operational stability through monitoring, maintenance, and technical documentation. Required Skills
Education
Completed IT education (University or University of Applied Sciences) with knowledge in Geoinformatics, or a completed University degree in Geography with a specialization in Geoinformatics.
Experience
- Professional experience in the support and development of GIS applications and Web-GIS modules
- Experience in independent project management and requirement engineering with stakeholders and external providers
- Proven experience in geodata management, including data preparation, conversion, and analysis
- Technical experience in database administration using Oracle or PostgreSQL
- Experience in programming and scripting for GIS applications using JavaScript and Python
- Experience in server and cloud administration (Windows/Linux) is preferred
