Job Summary

This leadership role at the Municipal Pension Fund (kvw) involves managing a dedicated team of 19 employees within the IT Services, Infrastructure, and Application Operations department. You will be responsible for positioning the IT department as a high-quality service provider, overseeing the expansion of availability and continuity management, and refining Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Day-to-day, you will drive IT asset and configuration management, manage change processes, and lead service management projects. The position is unique for its stability within the public sector (LWL), offering a choice between civil servant status or public service collective bargaining (TVöD). It combines high-level strategic IT organizational development with hands-on personnel leadership. Required Skills

Education

Master's degree or University Diploma in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a related field. Alternatively, qualification for the higher administrative service (Laufbahngruppe 2, 2. Einstiegsamt) or equivalent professional experience for non-degree holders.

Experience

  • Professional experience in IT Service Management following ITIL or COBIT frameworks
  • Leadership experience in managing personnel and developing teams
  • Extensive experience in administration of system and network components
  • Experience in IT strategy, financial planning, and budget monitoring
  • Proven track record in managing IT infrastructure performance and capacity
  • Experience in disaster recovery and emergency management (BCM)
