Job Summary

This position is hosted within the Junior Research Group 'Quantum Critical Matter' at the Institute of Theoretical Physics, part of the prestigious Würzburg-Dresden Cluster of Excellence 'ctd.qmat'. The successful candidate will engage in high-level research focusing on novel phases and phase transitions in quantum many-body systems. Day-to-day responsibilities involve investigating correlated electron systems and frustrated quantum magnets using advanced numerical or analytical many-body techniques. This role is highly collaborative, requiring interaction with both experimental and numerical research groups to advance the understanding of quantum materials. The position is particularly attractive as it offers a clear pathway for academic qualification, such as a PhD or habilitation, within a globally recognized research environment. Candidates will benefit from being part of a large international network of over 300 researchers working at the cutting edge of physics, chemistry, and materials science.
