As a Species Mapping Specialist for DB InfraGO AG, you will play a critical role in the planning and execution of ecological surveys for railway infrastructure projects across Germany. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve coordinating route section mapping, managing the procurement of external mapping services, and ensuring the quality of field data collection in compliance with regulatory standards. You will act as a key advisor to stakeholders, providing technical support and ensuring mapping results are integrated into project databases. Required Skills

Education

Degree in Biology, Geoecology, Landscape Planning, or a comparable field of study/vocational training combined with relevant professional experience.

Experience

  • Professional experience in species mapping and ecological field surveys
  • Experience with procurement procedures, cost estimation, and contract management within the environmental sector
  • Professional knowledge of nature conservation and planning laws
  • Experience in technical guidance or mentoring of colleagues is preferred
  • Proven track record of managing stakeholders and project timelines in critical situations
