Job Summary
This part-time position (50%) within the City of Kaiserslautern's External Communications department focuses on managing and evolving the city's digital presence. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and strategic development of digital channels, including website structure and content. A major component of the role involves creating multimedia content, such as video editing, graphic design, and image processing for both digital and traditional print marketing. You will work closely with internal and external partners to ensure cohesive communication strategies. This role is ideal for creative professionals with a strong eye for typography and visual language who enjoy working in a collaborative team environment. Required Skills
Education
Successfully completed university degree in Media Informatics, Media/Communication Sciences, or a comparable field of study.
Experience
- Professional experience in the conception and design of holistic online presences
- Proven experience in creating and editing graphics, videos, and digital images
- Demonstrated proficiency with professional graphic design applications such as Affinity or Adobe Creative Cloud
- Experience working with Content Management Systems, specifically TYPO3
