Job Summary

As a Process Engineer in the Electronics Manufacturing Center of Competence, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing a wide range of production processes. Your daily activities include managing printed circuit board assembly, burn-in testing, automated optical inspection (AOI), X-ray testing, and functional testing, as well as specialized processes like wire bonding and laser welding. You will play a critical role in reducing lead times, waste, and costs through continuous improvement initiatives. The position involves implementing Statistical Process Control (SPC), leading Six Sigma projects, and ensuring the smooth commissioning of new production equipment. You will act as a technical mentor for machine operators and collaborate closely with R&D departments to integrate cutting-edge manufacturing technologies. This role is ideal for a proactive professional with a 'hands-on' mentality who enjoys working at the intersection of technology and production efficiency.

Required Skills

Education

Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechatronics, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a production-related environment, preferably within electronics manufacturing
  • Professional experience in optimizing manufacturing processes to reduce costs and lead times
  • Proven experience with technical commissioning of new production facilities
  • Experience in cross-departmental collaboration with R&D teams
  • Experience in technical training and qualification of plant operators
