Job Summary
This role at Inteva Products' Technical Center in Grasbrunn near Munich focuses on the advanced development of vehicle interior systems. As a Senior Development Engineer, you will apply deep chemical and physical expertise to create, validate, and implement innovative materials and manufacturing processes for future automotive interiors. Your daily responsibilities include analyzing market trends, coordinating material testing with internal and external laboratories, and optimizing manufacturing techniques such as foaming, slushing, and bonding. A unique aspect of this position is the heavy focus on sustainability, where you will calculate Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) and ensure compliance with global chemical regulations like REACH and GADSL. This role offers an international working environment with flat hierarchies, flexible working hours, and the opportunity to shape the 'inner values' of future vehicle generations for major automotive manufacturers.
Required Skills
Education
University degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering (ideally a PhD), Plastics Technology, or Materials Science.
Experience
- At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in material development focusing on plastics and processes for automotive applications
- Extensive experience in the chemical-physical field including analysis and development
- Proven experience in creating and evaluating product Life Cycle Assessments (LCA)
- Experience with manufacturing processes for interior trim parts and foaming technologies is desirable
