Job Summary

As a Senior Control Systems Engineer at Siemens Mobility, you will be a key figure in the engineering of high-tech heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) subsystems for modern rail vehicles. Your daily responsibilities include modeling complex control algorithms using Matlab/Simulink to ensure robust, energy-efficient performance. You will play a leading role in formulating software requirements, guiding technical staff, and overseeing validation milestones through Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) testing. Collaboration is central to this role, as you will work closely with thermodynamics, software development, and vehicle engineering teams to integrate HVAC systems seamlessly into the overall train architecture. Required Skills

Education

Master's degree in Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a comparable engineering discipline.

Experience

  • Long-term, profound professional experience in the development, design, and analysis of control systems.
  • Extensive experience in thermodynamic or air conditioning applications, preferably within the rail industry.
  • Proven experience in software engineering, including requirement elicitation, process models, and test procedures.
  • Experience in leading and guiding technical employees and engineering specialists.
