This role involves the planning and implementation of new construction and renovation projects for wastewater treatment plants and special structures. Working within the Development, Planning, and Construction department, the Project Engineer will manage projects across all HOAI service phases (1-9), including local construction supervision. Key responsibilities include overseeing process engineering, technical equipment upgrades (specifically pumping stations), and collaborating closely with plant operations to optimize processes. The position is ideal for an engineer with a background in energy, building services, or electrical engineering who wants to contribute to environmental protection. Required Skills

Education

University degree in Energy Technology, Building Services Engineering (TGA), Building Automation, Supply Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable field.

Experience

  • Professional experience in the planning of wastewater treatment plants and associated regulations
  • Experience in process engineering specifically for wastewater facilities
  • Proven experience in construction management, including the awarding of civil and structural engineering contracts
  • Practical experience applying HOAI and German procurement laws (VOB/VOL/UVgO/VgV)
  • Experience in independent project execution and local construction site supervision

Additional

  • Valid Class B driver's license required. Position is based in Hildesheim with a 39-hour work week. Must be willing to work on-site at wastewater treatment plants and special structures.
