Job Summary

This role involves serving as an Operations Engineer for the Institute for Federal Real Estate (BImA) in Berlin, specifically managing high-profile federal properties and supreme federal authorities. The successful candidate will be responsible for the technical operation and safety of building systems, ensuring compliance with operator responsibilities and legal regulations. Day-to-day tasks include steering and monitoring technical service providers, planning maintenance processes, and developing technical specifications for national and European tenders. You will also act as the client representative for construction measures within technical facility management, including warranty management and reporting. This position is particularly attractive due to its focus on a complex, high-security real estate portfolio and the potential for significant recruitment bonuses (up to €1,500 monthly) and a permanent civil-service-aligned contract (TVöD Bund).

Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree (Diploma/Bachelor) in Building Services Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Supply Engineering, Technical Facility Management, or a comparable field; alternatively, a state-certified technician qualification with at least 3 years of relevant professional experience.

Experience

Several years of professional experience in technical building management or technical facility management is desirable
Extensive experience in ensuring operator responsibility and operational safety of technical systems
Proven experience in controlling and monitoring technical service providers
Experience in creating performance specifications for public procurement and tenders
Professional experience in budget monitoring and economic optimization of building systems
