Job Summary

This role is situated within the Water Team of the Pinneberg District Environmental Service, where you will play a vital part in managing surface water and promoting sustainable aquatic habitats. Day-to-day, you will be responsible for providing technical statements on urban development plans, processing water management permits, and advising municipalities and citizens on hydrological issues. You will also manage environmental accidents and participate in the department's emergency on-call rotation. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Diploma/Master) in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Hydrology, or Geography with a focus on Water Management; or a comparable degree with equivalent professional experience.

Experience

  • Professional experience in engineering tasks relevant to water management
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience required if degree is in a related field outside of Environmental/Civil Engineering
  • Experience in processing water management applications and technical permits
  • Experience in interdisciplinary cooperation and public advisory roles

  • Valid Class B driver's license required. Participation in the environmental department's on-call emergency service is mandatory. Must be eligible for public service employment under TVöD regulations.
