Job Summary

The University of Trier is seeking a Media Technician to join its Technical Department in a permanent, full-time capacity. In this role, you will be responsible for the planning, installation, maintenance, and administration of hardware and software within the fields of media technology, media studies, and phonetics. Your daily activities will include supporting research and teaching activities, managing lecture infrastructure, and providing technical oversight for online events and university-wide gatherings. You will also play a key role in the procurement and technical inspection of new media equipment. This position offers a secure public service contract on a green, international campus. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as an Information Electronics Technician (specializing in devices and systems), Radio and Television Technician, or an equivalent technical degree.

Experience

  • Completed vocational training as an Information Electronics Technician, Radio and Television Technician, or an equivalent technical qualification
  • Professional experience in the operation, maintenance, and repair of professional audio and video technology
  • Experience with non-linear editing systems and server administration
  • Experience in maintaining PC systems and peripheral devices
  • Proven ability to work independently and responsibly in a technical environment
