Job Summary

As a Senior Professional Test Engineer at the IT-Systemhaus of the Federal Employment Agency (BA), you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality of one of Germany's largest IT landscapes. Operating within an agile DevSecOps environment, your daily responsibilities include planning and executing complex manual and automated tests for online applications, specifically focusing on system, integration, and end-to-end testing. You will lead the development of test strategies, integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, and ensure accessibility standards are met. This role is highly collaborative, requiring close interaction with Business Analysts, Developers, and Product Owners to identify risks early in the development cycle. Required Skills

Education

University degree or equivalent qualification (preferably in Computer Science or Business Informatics); ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level (mandatory); Advanced Level certification is preferred.

Experience

  • Several years of relevant professional experience in software testing and quality assurance
  • Extensive experience in planning and executing system, integration, and end-to-end tests
  • Proven track record in developing and maintaining automated test suites
  • Experience working within interdisciplinary teams and agile software development environments
  • Professional experience in analyzing backend processes and interfaces
