Job Summary

As a Senior Manufacturing OT Engineer, you will drive the digital transformation of manufacturing operations across Europe and the Asia-Pacific region. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve overseeing major Manufacturing Operational Technology (OT) projects, providing technical governance, and leading program rollouts for systems like MES, OEE, and Data Historians. You will act as a bridge between IT and operations, collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize system ecosystems and ensure global standardization. This role is highly strategic, requiring you to form Centers of Expertise, lead vendor selections (RFI/RFP), and influence senior management within a matrix organization. The position is unique for its global scope and its focus on cutting-edge 'Smart Manufacturing' initiatives within the Life Science sector. It offers significant flexibility with remote work options and the ability to be based at various locations across Europe while making a tangible impact on global supply chain digitalization.

Required Skills

Education

University degree (BS or MS) in an engineering or science discipline from an accredited institution.

Experience

  • 7-10 years of relevant technical experience as a Manufacturing Systems Engineer
  • 10+ years of relevant experience with an international company, ideally supporting manufacturing operations
  • Proven experience in delivering digital transformation capabilities in a manufacturing environment
  • Professional experience as a technical subject matter expert and project manager for multiple manufacturing OT projects
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams to create cohesive manufacturing systems ecosystems
  • Experience leading RFI/RFP vendor selections and evaluations
