Job Summary
As an Electronics Technician at the Kiel Naval Arsenal, you will play a critical role in maintaining the operational readiness of the German Navy. Your daily responsibilities include the maintenance, diagnosis, and troubleshooting of complex command and weapon control systems, as well as sonar equipment. This work is performed across various environments, including ships, boats, and land-based facilities. You will be responsible for the repair, commissioning, and final acceptance of electronic assemblies and systems. This position is uniquely dynamic, requiring participation in sea voyages and the flexibility to work in confined spaces or at heights. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as an Electronics Technician (Information and Systems Technology / Devices and Systems) or an equivalent technical qualification.
Experience
- At least 2 years of professional experience in the maintenance of electronic systems on ships, boats, or naval land facilities.
- Completed vocational training as an Electronics Technician for Information and Systems Technology, Devices and Systems, or a comparable field.
- Experience working in specialized environments such as heights or confined spaces is required.
- Proven track record in troubleshooting and repairing complex electronic assemblies.

- Must possess a Class B driver's license; must obtain a Bundeswehr Class B license; must pass a Level Ü2 Sab security clearance; must be fit for sea service (MariMedV certification); requires willingness for frequent domestic and international travel and sea voyages; must pass a medical recruitment exam.
