Job Summary

As a PLC Programmer in Neuss, you will be responsible for the end-to-end software development of complex packaging machinery. Your daily activities will include programming PLC systems, servo drive technology, HMI interfaces, fieldbus systems, and safety technology. You will play a critical role in commissioning machines both internally and at international customer sites, ensuring prototypes meet design specifications. Beyond coding, you will handle hardware planning using CAD tools to create circuit diagrams and parts lists, while providing remote technical support for troubleshooting. This role is ideal for technical experts who enjoy a mix of software engineering and hands-on hardware integration. Required Skills

Education

Degree in Electrical Engineering or Automation Technology, or a qualification as a State-Certified Technician. Ideally combined with completed vocational training in the electrical or mechatronic field.

Experience

Professional experience in PLC, Motion, and Safety programming specifically within the Rockwell Automation ecosystem
Experience in commissioning packaging machinery or similar industrial equipment
Practical experience in electrical or mechatronic fields
Experience in hardware planning and the creation of circuit diagrams using CAD software
Experience in international customer service and technical support

Languages

English (Fluent)

Additional

Willingness to travel worldwide for commissioning and service assignments at customer sites. Proficiency in MS Office is required.
