Job Summary

As a Telecommunications Network Expert, you will serve as a pivotal figure in the digitalization of energy infrastructure for Westfalen Weser. Your daily responsibilities involve developing technical requirements for connecting decentralized energy plants to the control center and refining strategies for both wired and wireless transmission technologies. You will act as a key consultant for internal departments on the capabilities and implementation of the 450 MHz mobile network, which is specifically reserved for critical infrastructure. Beyond technical advisory, you will coordinate the company-wide utilization of mobile networks and help steer the expansion of fiber optic systems. Required Skills

Education

University degree in Communications Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in the planning and operation of networks, specifically mobile and Wide Area Networks (WAN)
  • Practical experience in project management and steering complex projects involving multiple stakeholders
  • Experience in the energy industry or within critical infrastructure environments is preferred
  • Proven track record in structured, independent problem-solving and goal-oriented work
