Job Summary

This role involves the strategic analysis, design, and optimization of the IT application landscape for the City of Jena's municipal IT department (KITT). As a Software and Information Systems Architect, you will be responsible for evaluating existing system architectures, identifying redundancies, and developing target architectures that prioritize security, scalability, and maintainability. Your day-to-day work includes planning APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures, as well as coordinating data integration strategies across 140 locations. You will act as a technical lead, translating complex business requirements into technical solutions while managing stakeholders across various departments and external partners.
